Brett Liotta, the Founder and Principal Consultant of ClearRock Solutions, has been developing web and database applications since 1999.  He is a Certified Advanced ColdFusion Developer and holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.  He also has a Brainbench (ISO 9001) Master Certification in ColdFusion MX, and ranks Top 5 in Florida according to Brainbench rankings.  He is currently working towards a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) certification.

Brett started the consultancy out of his apartment in Boca Raton, Florida around the time of the 2001 tech/dot-com fallout.  During this time he also worked as a Software Developer at one of the areas largest employers, Spherion Corp in Ft. Lauderdale.  Once his client-base grew enough to provide him with a steady source of work, he decided that he liked this freelancing thing much better than his job in corporate america.  "I've always felt I was in the business of solving problems.  Being a techie was second to the primary objective.. designing and implementing a real solution, a working and well-supported solution.  I believe that's what makes us different," Brett says.

Alongside Brett's many technical accomplishments, he enjoys working with people the most.  He says, "My favorite part about this job is that I get to work together with people towards a common goal."

Outside the office Brett enjoys outdoor activities such as tennis, golf, roller hockey, fishing, and downtime with his dog (a german shepherd).
